All you need to do is go to your local store and ask the meat manager how much seafood they throw away each week. Buddy of mine works for Fred Meyer as meat manager and told me they toss out at least 50-100 lbs a week since it spoils so easily.
Due time to stop the commercial rape of the oceans, especially since fish farming has become a viable alternative. I for one have no problem with not being able to eat it unless I catch it if it means saving the valuable resource for my children/grandchildren to enjoy.
