A good light spinning rod for humpies, silvers, and low water summer runs is like mentioned above is the 1082 IMX. Its expensive but well worth the pesos. I believe they are also coming out with a couple new float rods, might be somein to look into also. If your looking for a good drift rod for both summer and winter the STR1024 is a great rod at a decent price. Its a little on the lite side but ive never had a problem turning big fish...its rated 8-12lb.

As far as warranty goes, i have found that Loomis does an outstanding job at replacing broken rods and doing upgrades. Just recently i'd sent in 2 broken rods and both were replaced for 30$ in just one week!
