I am sure you are a nice guy Dogfish. I was not so much making the statement about you, as much as I was concerning the statement made about someone being ethical simply due to their expertise with a firearm. I have known a few people that could pop a quarter in the air with a pistol, but they could shoot an animal in the hindquarters and then laugh when it was squealing and dragging itself around.
I take pride in the fact that I have never experienced an animal suffering due to a poorly placed (or impossible running) shot. But then again, I have not killed near as many animals as many people I have known.

Taking animals in a fair-chase scenario is an honorable action IMHO, taking animals for nothing more than bragging rights, and with little regard for the animals wellbeing, is somehthing that none of us should be guilty of.......... BTW, I would enjoy meeting you someday Dogfish. Anyone that would fish for Lings in a Kayak is okay in my book!
