For the first day trying I think I am doing well. I cut the barb and snipped the tip of the sharp hook for a practice hook. I poked myself too many times already.

I was doing this more for homeade corky and yarn. How do you keep eggs in the loop? I do have cured eggs but have yet to use them. That was also a trial and error on my part. Turned out well but havn't caught a fish yet with them.

Thanks again. I will indeed practice more before moving to smaller test line and smaller hooks.
