Just got back from 4 days out of Slayque. Weather went from sun to rain, rough to smooth and clear to fog. But the fish were hot. the pink schools were a hit and miss i just looked for the jumpers. they were in the 5lb + class. with the large tides i found the smaller silvers were hitting in the morning but in the evening they were big the largest being 14 lbs. I ran up almost to NB on Mon. in the fog and found silvers there as well. The bite was kind of sparce at times but there was always action. Just 4oz lead and a cut plug. Even a coulple on i fly with no weight. The capper to the whole trip was the king that was pushing 40lbs. Thank god the leader broke as he came to the boat . That would have hurt turning that one loose. I wish I had more $ and time. The straits have done me well this year.
