Not really a turnaround story but just as good. Was going to take a coworker on his first steelhead fishing venture. Picked him up at his house right after work and we proceeded to make the 50 mile drive from Salem to the stretch of the North Fork Santiam where they had been nailing them. I jumped out of the truck and proceeded to set up my pole when he looked at me and said "you're not going to believe this but I forgot my pole" "Dont tell anybody"
