Got out Thursday morning with Jer & enjoyed a fabulous day on the water between Kingston and PNP. Radiant day, calm seas, no wind and TONS of bait. Along with the bait were lots of birds, seals, blackfish and gorged salmon. The usual stuff wasn't working so we decided to match the hatch and jigged up a couple dozen herring. Ran up to PNP and fished the end of the ebb. Marked a lot of fish throughout the area, but nothing doing until the tide turn when things got fast and furious for a few minutes at the chimney hole. Final score: 2 silvers on, 1 in, and 3 BM released. Didn't observe anyone else with fish on either from the bank or boat. (db - never saw you) I am sure the amount of bait made fishing more difficult than usual because the BM we released still had bait sticking out of their mouths as we brought a couple to the boat. The silver I kept had eight herring in it's belly along with some large spotted shrimp and absolutely no room to spare for the two herring and my bait still in it's mouth (look what greed will get you). On our way back with the flood, silvers were surfacing in the calm waters all around us and I was blown away as I watched something I have never seen before; two nice silvers come up side by side and ride off the bow briefly like a couple of porpoises as we trolled back to Kingston. Awesome.

Thanks, Lord. Glorious day, beautiful place, good time, great friend and a nice coho to top it all off.
