Anything in a 10.5 is a good selection.

The 6500 is a good choice for an all around reel however if you plan on using the rod for many hours a day and can get a way with less line capacity go with the Curado.

A 6500 is very tiring to hold all day long while float fishing.

I have a laminglass G1000 series float rod and have caught hundreds of fish on it, very durable rod.

I also need another float rod, I think I will wait for Rainshadow to come out with the new 51 million modulus rods before purchasing another rod.

Every once in a while I need a bigger heavier rod for drift fishing, sometimes I use a 1265 and it would be nice to have one with a little more sensitivity.
