the secret ias this: dont buy a really expensive float and jig rod. you dont need any "feel" to see your float go under or hesitate. it is all in the length. stick with 10' or longer but go with a griggs... the 10'6 is only like 70 bucks and it has outlasted any of my certified pro's or all stars of the same size. and if you break it, it is only 15 bucks to get it replaced with no questions asked
