I fished the Cowlitz for the first time on Monday with Guide Jim Stahl - great guide. About a foot of visibility in the morning. We caught three nice fish, two in the morning and one in the afternoon and had a number of good hits. By afternoon the visibility had gone down considerably. One of the guys swicthed to a larger cheater and nailed one near the end of the day. Going bigger definitely made the difference as the watere came up. Saw several other fish caught. Seems like they are there, just tough with the high water.
