If all the fish in a river are created using only wild broodstock than the only real difference is a missing adipose fin,can the missing fin really mean its a weaker fish not able to spawn ?
Is there proof that hatchery fish produced from wild brood are not able to spawn.
As far as killing wild steelhead its time that this practice was given up completely.Up here in british columbia you can really see how well the wild release system works when you look at the rivers in the northern part of the province.Killing wilds,sure glad i never witnessed this in my lifetime.
