What possible reason would you have to not use a float when fishing any offering with the exception of Plugs and metal.For one ,with a float you can present your offering exactly where you want it in the water column and you can present it at the exact speed of the current. As far as long leaders go,i think youll find you will hook alot more fish with a 10 ft leader and a sharp hook,works up here for the floss crowd.The only time i would consider bottom bouncing is when a pool is deeper than 20 ft.
