You bet, with a side plainer, works good and can be done in the same water that you would pull plugs in from a drift boat.
Set up so you can bring the plug past the plainer about 30' and start working the plug and plainer across the river by kind of pulling your rod up and down to get where you want and then just slowly walk it down river through the hole or you can let it sit in one spot and wait for the take down. Provided you don't have 30 boats coming down the river.
