I agree with Badbobber that sideplaner is very effective.

You may have trouble the first few times trying to launch it but once you get your plug swimming properly you can really cover some water.

I like to avoid areas with lots of other anglers because it can really take up alot area, and once you get the planer in the water you are going to want to be able to push it down the river without interfering with your fellow anglers.

My one other piece of advice would be to get a buddy to run one right along side yours two plugs are better than one.

P.S. Oh yeah hold on tight that pole could get pulled right into the river if you are not paying attention.
