I've arranged to go look at a 16' Wellcraft ($2500) next week - Boat sounds like a good little boat for the price, but I would appreciate input from the board on a couple things.

1. 1986 Sazuki 115 HP outboard. Any experience with older big Sazuki's would be appreciated. Owner says it runs strong as recent as last summer. (has a "trolling" gear he says?)

2. Mid 80's Johnson kicker. Kind of a thow-in, but let me know what you think.

3. '86 16' Wellcraft open bow w/ walkthrough windshield and seating in bow. I am hoping this is the deep V design of the current fisherman models, but we'll see when I get there. The owner states that is is a fairly deep V boat, and it does well in the bay.

What I am NOT looking for is a Bayliner Capri w/ a wellcraft name on it. So any info on the construction of these boats would be appreciated.

I'd like to use this boat around Whidbey - Admiralty Inlet, Midchannel Bank, and Saratoga Passage. Maybe once a year in Sekiu. Is it designed for that type of use?

Thanks for your help!
