If the wind is not a problem, I would go out past Tatoosh Island. There is a pinicle about
(2) miles out of the slot on a 225 heading. Look on a chart. It will say breakers.

This area is great foe all types of bottom dwellers.

Go NW of the pinicle and the bottom turns sandy. Thats right, halibut.

You can also go through the slot and head south a few hundred yards and fish the pillars.

I have fished Neah for years in rental boats and my old 17 ft bayliner.

It is all about the wind, the tide change, and fishing hard on the slack tides.
