I'm probably one of the guys you are referring to when you say some people take this way too seriously, although I do try to do my best at bringing a sense of humor to the table about it.

I think its possible to retain your sense of humor AND be deadly serious at the same time (Bill Hicks, RIP). In fact for me, I can't think of anything more important (or funnier)than this election.

Anyone remember the reverse joke, told on the daily show about two months ago? Oh well....I guess we shouldn't expect too much original thought from the repuiblican side of the aisle, we might actually have to give them credit for something positive.
