Ok, now I remember the story I saw on CNN.

First of all only the heaviest hitters in terms of units moved are able to get away with such political expressions. The labels exert heavy pressure on lesser artists (purely in terms of sales) to keep their political traps shut...

So the extent to which the artistic community reviles the Bush administration is severely dampened by internal censorship. We're only seeing the half of it.

Springsteen tends to appeal to fans across political lines, especially the middle class. Allentown anyone? so in spite of righty's efforts to discredit him as just another musician with political thoughts, it's a big win for Kerry having his endorsement.

I am strongly in favor of using whatever opportuinity you are given to send a political message. Its the only way for the little guy, the MM's and the Dickme Chicks of the world, to shout as loudly as the political neophytes from the other side of the aisle. The ones with all the money.

So more power to them.

If Ahnuld can have a voice in politics why not Serg Tankinian?

(Elvis, that reference is for you.)
