Westport was beautiful this weekend. Friday was tough with some severe weather and it took part of Saturday to settle down. In the afternoon we went back out to deep water where a friend of a friend got a 55# king..we only managed a 25# king....lots of native silvers...some real big ones...released 99% of the fish caught and kept one chinook and one coho. Water was 61 degrees (tuna temp) in close and out at 250ft of water dropped to a frigid 57.....saw sunfish and sharks....Fishing was generally slow. My oldest fishing partner who never gets seasick was doing some spewing of his own....Brings up a piece of advise for those prone to spew....do not put lots of mustard on your sandwiches. My buddy reminded me of the Excorcist. Anyway we had another great trip to Westport. I think the kings are still out at Blue Dot .....
