This suit could be a deciding factor in the election if it's resolved before November. but I suppose that's wishful thinking. Until then, it's likely to be a thorn in Kerry's side.

Think abou it-- the issue of "truth" in the Swift Boat debate could be resolved in a court of law... either Kerry is vindicated or he's found to be a liar and a fraud. I have no opinion in that matter since I wasn't there (nor have I seen any claims on this board that all those who "know" the "facts" were there either).

What I do find disturbing is that a naval reserve officer supposedly was meeting with the enemy in an unofficial capacity while the country was at war. It's one thing to attempt to broker a peace agreement, and it's another to aid and abet the enemy. That undoubtedly would have to go to court to be resolved.

It would be a lot more productive for both sides to stick to the issues of WHAT they will do and HOW they will accomplish their goals following the election. But I guess that's wishful thinking.

Meanwhile, I think I'll go fishing,
