I've got to ditto Parker. I have three orange herring bone tadpolly's. The only one that catches fish is the one with teeth marks. It don't much matter the conditions as that one plug seems to produce. I sometimes think plugs are a little like flies in that the more "hammered" they are the better they work.

TK's got a point too. I'm not real sure my dream plug would sell real well!

The best thing you could do to get me to buy one of your plugs "off the shelf" is to paint the bill black. That way I don't have too.

As a steelheader (still working on the freshwater salmon thing) a few things that I like on my plugs are:
A black bill
A lateral line
and eyes.

As for my perfect plug lets use fnp's wiggle wart as a baseline:
Make it run as well as tadpolly out of the box
Give it a black bill.
Make the bottom half silver for contrast (just like a real baitfish). &
Make that single siwash dance like a tail fin.
Provide that in different colors and I'll place a bulk order!

Good Luck!
