Whole fish at the Everett derby. Largest was 18.4 or so? Either 18.1 or 18.4

We went 13-15 over two days but couldnt get into a big one. Our hookup/land ratio was good but most fish were 6-8 pounds.

Our two largest were nice fish at 9.5 and 9 pounds but nothing that would have placed high. Got a ton of nice eggos and fresh meat. Wish I had time to get back otu there this week.

Check this story out.

Sunday AM it was first light, and I was running at top speed across the the lower end of Possession bar From Edmonds up towards Scatchett head. Water is flat as a pancake and I had enough light to see dead heads or anything else on the water. Out of nowhere, the boat hits something and we all lurch forward into the windshield. We turn around to see a wall of water 7 feet high entering the boat and completely washing out the whole stern. Thought I had hit a seal or whale sleeping on the surface or something. Turns out we had hit a submerged 2x6 or piece of plywood that was laying flat on the water, dont know how long. When we hit it it flipped up sideways against the prop shaft and acted like a brake like flaps on a airplane wing, shooting water straight up at 40MPH. Triple !!!! After drying off and checking my shorts, we were under way again glad that nothing worse happened other than getting a little wet. Um, are you awake yet guys???

We skipped the weigh in as we were quite a ways out and opted to just keep fishing for our limit.

Get out there this week if you can, fishing is really good right now.

Point no Point and Picnic Point produced the best for us. 65-85 feet down on "proven"
