Apple tree northward would take a couple hours to troll to actually get to the point. That's been dead water for me in the past, so I dont fish it.
We were fishing at the point, in deep water off the point, and north of it. Fish came at 65-85 on the rigger trolled fast with either a green/glow/ Aurora/ white w green stripe hoochy and herring strip. Stay in water at least 150-200 feet deep, even deeper is better. We picked up more fish this weekend trolling hard into the tide at an angle than trolling with it.
