I fished a new area today. it wasn't on the Quill.

the point is if i had posted a thread and based my trip on it, i never would have ventured into that new area. the fishing wasn't great, saw a few beauties and fished 'em hard with no body telling me where to go. It's not too hard to figure out the general catching pattern of late: fish are in. hatchery fish getting darker, nates coming, need rain most places . YES: people are catching fish, and it seems like they ARE posting reports

when you head out when the time comes: you'll get a chance to check conditions at one of the rivers along the way (a ritual which will teach you how to read the guages and also what to expect when)... rest assured there are fish to be had!
