When did politeness morph into "walking on eggshells"? My current rule of thumb is I don't write anything about a particular person that I wouldn't be able to say to their face.

And I'm not talking about you in particular, but the tone alot of folks write in...well just imagine if those same people talked to strangers in a roadside tavern like that, I'd be seeing alot more unconscious patients in by ambulance.

Being nice, saying 'please', 'thank you', and 'I'm sorry', they won't make anyones cajones rot off. One of America's finest gentlemen also carried bigger ones than anyone here. John Wayne never would be confused with an obnoxious, rude, mouth breather.
