Howdy,
Thanks all for the thoughtful replies...and for a few funny ones too!
I made the error of marrying an "Internet Chic" a few years ago (2000). Some family members may remember my anguish and problems with that 8 month marriage..it was a nightmare unrivaled by anything Sci-Fi could ever produce.
We want ZIM to avoid the same fate...here are his comments that got us worried...
"Hey guys, you aren't gonna believe this but I swear it is a true story.
I was in a poor marriage for 20 years and finally 14 months ago my wife filed for divorce. I was not exactly torn up due to the fact we had nothing in common. I was always a gym rat keeping fit and an outdoors person. She layed in bed watching Oprah eating bon bons for 20 years and used her 4 year degree to fetch a $9,000/year job.
Anyway, after 14 months I decided I wanted to go out again, not seriosuly, just to a Cubs or Sox game with a gal. So I signed up for Match.Com and invested $101.94. My profile photos included one of me holding my Illinois P&Y buck, and Arizona elk, and many landscape photos I took out west. My logic was........if you don't like my outdoor lifestyle, don't let the door hit your a$$ on the way out.
Well...........It took a whopping 2 HOURS to find my soul mate. No kidding. This lovely lady is a true blue outdoors gal, saw my site and winked at me 2 hours after I signed up. We have EVERYTHING in common, and after only 2 weeks we are already committed to getting wed. Seems quick but this is the no brainer of the century! Sweet christian gal on top of it. She is from Belgium and has an awesome french accent too.
Yikes, and to think I only wanted to go to a baseball game or something. There's something to be said for this dating technology. "
She has NOT asked him for a dime, and he says she is flying over heare to meet him. On direct questioning, Zim said the subject of $$ had never even come up.
Got my fingers crossed for him. her carcass is nice...now if her mind/spirit are as beautiful he'll have a winner!
Still...
Mike
