I just received mine back from Tr-1 and paid almost 500 to have a new motor seal and a new oil resevoir put on. But to be honest , I have put many hours on this unit and have had it in two different boats. I have had my problems with it, but with saying that, I could not even think of being without it. It makes life so much easier when fishing alone or with rookies, keeps the boat straight, etc.
Now the cordless remote could be improved by making it larger and waterproof, but I think there is some kind of proprietary stuff to do with that. I have the cordless and have it around my neck, but often have the corded remote in hand. It is handy to have when I walk to the front of my walkaround and can steer from there, or if I have to take a potty break!'
