Agree, use 30lb, Your hand get alittle damp and that 20# will cut right into you. I had had 80# cut into before and your fingers areall fucked up after a day of fishing. It does not matter if you ise backing or not, Just remeber PUT THE LINE ON AS TIGHT AS YOU CAN! I was in Keo Largo FL and i just spooled up my Shimano tekota 600 with 80LB Stren Super braid (THE BEST BRAID) and i hooked up with a 100lb Tarpon, If you know a tarpon the run like a bitch, and he was spooling my drag and the line dug all the way down to my spool in one side beacuse the line was not on tight enough. So that is key.


I strongly agree, put that stuff on it TIGHT. I have only used the 30 PP so can't comment on the 20 cutting guys up but I can see it happening.....
