Not only are the loss of kegs and issue with brewers, now hops are becoming scarce. I heard part of an intervew with a brewer talking about it and how they only had enough hops to brew about 500 - 600 barrels and no prospect for any more. Plus, if he could find them, the price has jumped tremendously.
He did say he got some two year old hops from South America and threw them all out rather than use poor quality hops.
I came in late on the interview so I don't know which brewery.
