I am just back from a trip to North Dakota and Montana. I spent a couple of nights at thr T.R. National Monument. I had forgotten how great a conservationist T.R. was. When you consider he also took on the oligoplies, he really was a great president. The desire to protect the nations resources and the consumer has somehow escape the current batch of those who carry his parties label.
Not really, McCain has repeatedly referred to TR as a very big influence. There are plenty of people who are still skeptical about Global Climate change and more importantly, the cause of it. Now, if you agree with Gore, who wants to eliminate the use of fossil fuels completely, in ten years, what will happen to the airlines and the space program. Finally, one governor does not make national policy. I would at least find the quote and get the date of the quote. In 85- 86 time frame the best science and public spin at the time, said that women did not get AIDS.
Things change. I havent had time to research the info, but in the last few days, I started hearing about 15,000 scientist who are not on board with global warming.
