Riva rat,

By packable do you mean "backpackable?" If so, then the Sevylor is about the best that is light weight, low bulk, and readily available. At about 3 1/2 pounds, the only thing lighter I know of are the Curtis backpack rafts at 2 pounds. Unfortunately Curtis stopped making them, and you'd have to shop the used market.

Alpackas are more durable but heavier, bulkier, starting at about 6 pounds and up.

If by packable you mean easily packed and carried in your car but not on your back, then the successor to the Tote 'N' Flote is the Watermaster, which also has a couple knockoffs (Waterskeeter is one) that fill the same niche with slight variations in features. But they're all around 30 pounds or so. One of the knockoffs has good features and is about $400 less, but I don't remember its name.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.
