For under a $100 you can get a 10.5' Shimano or Shakespear, then hang a Shimano 2500 spinning reel, depends how much you want to spend, some braided line, leader, bobber/float, some good jigs.......go fishing!!!!!

You can spend $300 - 600 for a Loomis or Lamiglas rod, 13'...couple that with a Stratic 2500 reel, EBAY price $110 - 189, same braided line, leader, bobber/float, some good jigs in 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 oz.......go fishing!!!!!


I've fished with 9.5', 10.5' and 13'........all are fun but I really like my 3 piece, 13' Lamiglas.......NOT A BOAT ROD!!!!!
