I've recently started fishing braid on my spinning reel.. It's on a 9 1/2' 9 weight fly blank spinning rod.. Pretty nice setup for float and drift fishing all in all.. absolutely love the 20# power pro for float fishing... That stuff lays right on top of the water.. Beats the hell outta trying to mend mono!! I'll use either 10 or 12 lb ultragreen for leader, usually no more than about 24" so that I can fish those shallower pockets with no troubles! Good solid hookset with that lighter rod!!
