No one clamoring for tort reform has ever had a loved one killed or irreparably damaged by poor doctoring...just like everyone hates lawyers, until they need one...and then the lawyer is their best friend.

Malpractice insurance too high? That's a problem between the doctor and his carrier, not between the doctor and his patient...I mean, we can't be havin' anything get between a doctor and his patient now, can we?

It's the "free market"...isn't it? Don't like your malpractice carrier, get a new one.
