10% unemployment... I work a lot with people in the construction industry. There are lots of guys that were making a very good living on with no diploma and only one set of skills. Take away that job and then offer them unemployment compensation at a payment no one else will hire them for and you wonder why they never get off? Especially when you keep continuing it for them. I have met quite a few guys that say they have no intention of looking for a real job. No reason to. There is no way they can make as much as they can on unemployment. We need to make sure that if they intend to extend unemployment benefits, they do so at a continuing droppintg rate.
