I just wanted to quickly attest that CCA Washington is working hard on this issue and has since the notice went out in 2009. A member alerted us to the regulations and the first step taken was to request an additional public meeting in Anacortes. That request was granted by NOAA.

Emails have gone out to members from Seattle to the Blaine, allerting them of CCA's concerns and questions surrounding the science used in NOAA's conclusions. If you are a member and did not receive an email, contact your chapter president.

Just because you don't always hear all the intricate details does not mean it is being ignored. This is evidenced by the emails going out and CCA representatives speaking those concerns at the meeting. Other things not disclosed are happening I am sure.

ALL recreational fishermen, including CCA are making a difference. Everyone deserves kudos.
