A friend of mine had the same car, different name. It was a Plymouth Scamp. One day he is sitting at a stoplight on a date with the girl who would later become his wife.

This car pulls up next to him, and the guy says "Is that a Plymouth Scamp, with a slant six???"

Jeff says, "Why yes it is!"

The driver of the cars says, "Well, aren't you the thrill seeker!" wink

I still think of that story everytime I see a Dart or a Scamp on the road. Jeff drove that car for a long time, so he tells me, and he sold it for enough money to buy a Penn 600 downrigger!

Sorry for going off topic, but maybe somebody here knows Jeff or his buddy, "Flounder".

Anyway, they are great cars, and will run forever. It is nice to look into the engine compartment and actually recognize 90% of the parts, without a shop manual, and be able to work on them yourself.
