it was killed in unit 45....which is the #1 sought after buck tag in the state. it is 100% controlled hunt unit and damn near impossible to draw....about an hour or so east of boise. the rumor i heard was this kid has killed 3 bucks in the past 3 years all scoring over 200"....so he decided to keep the velvet on this hog and not have it officially scored. they believe he is a "cactus" buck....hence the velvet so late in the season (which meant he was growing about a month longer than most bucks).
