Do not, repeat, do not stand anywhere near this. In fact, do not even attempt to do this, in this day and age you could find yourself in serious trouble, not to mention it's dangerous as hell.

We made the fuses about 2-3 feet long.

For a good reason..................



The rocket fuse was nice. Before we discovered them, we made a cheapo version by cutting the female end from an extension cord, fraying the end, and twisting together two single copper strands from each polarity. The resulting POP when we plugged 'er in could cauderize a hole in a thin steel plate, and ignite anything we had close.

I can vouch for the UN-safety. We put a little honey we made in a burn barrel full of empties and stood 100 feet away. A sliver of glass the size of a grain of sand punched a hole in my friend's face just below his eye from 100' feet away. The angle was about 2* upslope to give you an idea of the ballistics.

Such is the way of shrapnel.
