Just using average age, fecundity, and size charts, a 75" halibut is probably around 20 years old, has spawned about nine or ten times, and started out laying about 500,000 eggs when first mature, to nearly 4 Million eggs at 200 or 250 pounds...which means this fish has probably layed somewhere in the neighborhood of 18 to 30 Million eggs over her lifetime.

Killing a wild anadromous fish that pretty much spawns only once in its life kills it before it ever spawns.
