What is the size range of your Redfish? Never fished for them so I have no clue, but I have seen some good sized specimens on fishing shows.


For ripping larger plugs like the 1 oz. size you mentioned I like a extra-fast action rod.

Personally I would look @ the Lamiglass X-89 MCT, light tip to let the lure work & plenty of muscle in the butt section to wrassle em out of the nasty stuff. Lamiglas calls it their "Magnum Taper" it works.


Put a Abu Toro 50 on top & its hammer time...... 2cents
