I have always thought the same thing about Columbia gear, especially rain coats. But I will give them props on their wool.

I know a few guys who hunt really hard all over the west. Several of them have told me that for the money that stuff is as good as any.

I have the Gallatin Wool coat. I wish it didn't have the liner, but otherwise it has held up very well. I recommend getting it one size smaller than you normally wear. It is too loose for me around my chest and I am a fairly big guy (bought a large). I prefer my hunting clothes to be tighter to my body.
