I guess this is what I do when I can't get out there, last weekend was a wash for me, but I think there's a general trend of the questions getting less trivial as well....

I guess what I was looking for was a suggestion for a knot that would KEEP the jig properly presented, which folks have given. The two turn cinch knot (descriptions say it's stronger than the 'improved cinch') looks attractive as well, I'll give a few different ones a try. Animated knots has been really helpful, and has helped with memorizing them.

I dunno, I guess I'd rather deal with BS, being a pest, asking questions, and looking stupid here online rather than on the water. That's my philosophy in a nutshell.
