It's funny this topic came up.Just today I went to Goodwin up at smokey point. This lake has a reputation for rude and inconsiderate boaters and jet-skiers. I only fished for 30 minutes because of the traffic on the water,I figured since it was a monday it would'nt be an issue. There were only two boats that were wake-boarding but both boats made numerous passes within 25yds of my boat. If you have never been to Goodwin it's a large lake...about 500 acres. There is absolutly no reason for running that close to another boat anywhere. mad mad mad

There is a large sign at the launch stating the rules of the lake. These people must not be able to read because the rules are never followed. The sheriff is at the lake alot but as soon as there gone the recklesness starts up again. mad

The worst I ever saw at Goodwin was when a group of teenage boys were trying to impress the girls at the swim dock. They were in a 20-22ft boat, they would come screaming across the lake and turn real sharp at the last second trying to spray the girls at the dock. It ended with the boat clipping the dock and dumping one of the guys out of the boat. It could have been way worse than it was,and they thought it was really funny! mad

The state really needs to crack down on the unsafe boaters and pwc's. mad
