I don't have that rod, but recently checked out several of Cabela's low end rods. I'd take the chance on it, especially since they'll take it back if you just don't care for it. I was really impressed with their low end Three Forks series in 5, 8, and 10 wt, and bought the 10 wt for tarpon in Mexico. It's an outstanding rod for $60 and has better cork than a lot of expensive rods. You only risk the inconvenience and the potential shame of being seen with it on the river.
