I agree with you whole heartily both as a land owner and as a relative of another land owner. The two things that really jerk our chain are 1) Fishing or Hunting our Properties without coming to the Farm House and asking permission and 2) Leaving your trash and/or garbbage on our Lands.

Washington State has a Treaspass Law and it's not the Owner's responsibility to post the land, it's the Hunter or Fisherman's responsibility to ask the Land Owner or his Agent for access to a Land Owner's property, unless otherwise Posted and then and then only in accordance with his wishes once the permission is granted.

If you can not or will not follow these Guidelines you are not welcome on his or my lands and are subject to Trespass Laws and will be Prosecuted to the Fullest Extent of the Law.

It's common courtesy to follow these simple guidelines and in doing so you may find the Landowner to be on your side.

I know for a fact that if you show abbusive behavior to the Owner or others and it can cause real problems and is the reason why many Landowners close their Lands to Public Use.
