Last night I was itching to fish. Living in the West Seattle area, commuting to a river is just a pain, especially during rush hour. So I went down to my Dad's house, on Puget Sound, and he and I went out searching for some cutthroat, in MA 11.

Earlier this year I built him a fly rod from a Batson IF1006 blank. He loves it. He wanted me to fish it last night, so I did. I think we brought 6 or 7 little cutties to the boat last night. Nothing of size.

The cool thing is, and maybe I'm bragging here, is fishing and catching with a rod I built, a fly I made, and if course, spending time with my Dad. It was a good evening of fishing.
