maybe this has been posted before but just in case.

Alot of people may be dustin off there bass gear or buying new stuff.

If you get a backlash, tighten up your drag, put your thumb semi firmly on the spool, turn the handle five times, and pull your line out with the clutch disengaged with slight pressure on the spool. Dont forget to reset your drag! This works on 90.2% of backlashes.
