OK, so having come nearly full circle with all the usual insults from and to all the usual suspects, and hey! WTF? I drive a Subaru! what do people think about the WA state draft management plan? I don't know if the numbers are right, but I don't have a problem with WDFW proposing 15 breeding pairs, which I assume means 15 packs. Give the prey population in WA and the unstoppable human population, I don't think 50 or 100 breeding pairs is viable over the long term. Given that the huggers want no upper limit, and the ranchers think one is one too many, I think WDFW might be real close on what a functional wolf population in this state might be.

Good point Stam about not having to defend fishing and hunting on a fishing and hunting forum. Yet doing so is a good exercise in developing the ability to articulate what we are about so that it can be understood by the open minded.
