"New poverty"? Yeah, maybe. But this particular age group can fend for themselves far better than the other demographic groups. They're participants in the underground economy. There are a lot of people making money under the table that wouldn't do so under normal circumstances. They're bartering and using self reliance skills to cut their cost of living WAY back without suffering a significant hardship like becoming homeless.

And they're becoming resentful of the filthy rich corporate pigs HANK. They may even decide the tea party is to blame. Class warfare is about to become really interesting.
